Hope & Minnie

When I got home tonight Hope was in her minnie chair with her minnie robe on watching mickey mouse clubhouse with Daddy and a minnie that was bigger the she is. I think we might have a minnie obsession at this house.

Gaylord Texan Getaway

Ryan and I had our first night alone together since Hope was born, it was way over due. We of course brought her with us to check in so she could swim and see where Mommy & Daddy would be. She was so excited to swim but the outdoor pool was freezing (crazy people where still swimming) and the indoor pool was still a bit cold for me, didn't bother her she had a blast. She loved the train, choo choo, the fish, glass elevator and the room, we almost let her stay with us because she had so much fun jumping on the bed and going out on the balcony. We ended up taking her to Ryan's parents at about 7 she fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up till about 11pm when she got out of the crib and went to bed with them till 6am. She did great got ready this morning just fine and went to church with Grandma and Papa. Ryan and I had a nice dinner there then went to the glass cactus, stayed out way to late, then had breakfast at the riverwalk cafe. It was wonderful we have to do it again soon. I want to take Hope to the Great Wolf Lodge, she is a water baby so I know it is right up her ally.

Hope's Camping Crib

Ryan found a crib tent Friday in Frisco at lone star baby, thank you lord. I never thought I would want my toddler caged up like an animal but when she was still playing at midnight after not napping that day I found out that she is NOT ready for a big girl bed. I am so excited to redo her room but she is not ready to sleep so maybe I will try again in a few months. Till then she is camping in her crib and is okay with that. When I first put it on she said, "No, this" but after Friday night she was okay with it.

Picnic in the Park

Hope & Ella Claire staring contest, with Dylan as the judge. (Beware naked babies in diapers below)After Art class on Thursday we took the little ones for a picnic in the park. It was a beautiful day to play outside. We set up by a pond with fish so of course Hope was more interested in the fish then her food, I think we feed the fish more then we ate. As they were running around the park they found a fountain, we took the shoes off first then after getting completely wet we decided to strip them down to the diaper. After the park I took Hope home we showered, ate lunch (she did not eat on the picnic) and put her down for a nap, then my worst nightmare happened she came out and got me. We have a video monitor and it was on I just wasn't paying attention to it. So today we are on a mission to get a crib tent, I guess they have been discontinued till they come out with the crib tent III, this just happened within the last 3 weeks. I would settle for anything now we got no sleep or nap for 2 days in her crib. Hope and I went to 8 stores today to find one, I know we can order it online but I need it now, I told Ryan not to come home without it. Hope is old enough to move to a toddler bed but she is so strong willed that we have to wait till she is older, so hopefully we will get some sleep soon.

Buffett Concert

I got a few okay pictures from the concert, most of then didn't come out that great. Poor Ryan I made him pose with a few dressed up parrotheads (Buffett fans) he was a good sport about it. We all went to the Buffett concert in San Diego but this time we got babysitters and left Hope at home. I though their were a few too many ? smells and crazy people to get her out again, I will wait till she is at least 4, lol. Ryan and I got to enjoy this concert a little more with out having to keep up with Hope. I did however steal one on of Hope big ali clips to wear in my hair. The tailgating is so funny at all Buffett concerts, people rent a pot-a-potty and charge to use them, it's crazy. I love to just walk around and people watch, you would never believe what you see. We all had such a great time and Hope went to sleep for her babysitters, yes she had two.

Babe's Chicken

Ryan's brother came in town from Cali for the Jimmy Buffett concert (will post pics later) so we thought what better way to welcome him to Texas then Babe's Chicken. We didn't know it was byob so the girls waited for a table while the boys made a beer run. I got a few cute pictures during the long wait, Friday night is a bad night to go to Babe's. I love the picture of Hope dancing in front of the old jutbox. She loved when the worker did the line dance.

Nap Time

I put Hope down for her nap on Friday and I heard a different music coming from the monitor. It freaked me out a little, I was scared she got out of her crib. I guess she reached under her crib and found some books that had been hiding down there. Too funny a Christmas Carols, Dr. Seuss and a musical book in her face with the price tag still on. I think I found myself like this a few time in college.

Zoo & Purple Cow

Hope, Ella Claire and Natalie had a big day last week. Hope started off with gymnastics then we went to meet her friends at the zoo and had a late lunch at the purple cow. We made a quick trip through the zoo just hit up the main animals and took a few pictures. The girls were getting hungry so we gave in and got them suckers to buy time till we got to eat. It was our first time to the purple cow, too cute, they were doing a fun raiser for autism speaks a portion of the check was donated. Hope did not eat anything till the purple ice cream was brought out then she found her appetite. Thanks Christine we had a blast!

Bluebonnets

A wonderful photographer Courtney with Anthologies Images, who we meet through a friend, took some family bluebonnets picture for us. I was so excited to get pictures of Hope in her huge fairy outfit, it has been hanging up just waiting for picture time. The pictures came out great considering how windy it was, Hope not feeling well and having a very short nap.

Easter Lunch

We went up to Ryan's Aunt & Uncle's house in Denton for lunch. I am so sad I didn't get a picture of Hope in her Easter dress before we had to change her. I only got a few pictures of her playing in the pool room and sleeping on the way home. I wanted to get Hope a special easter cupcake but the bakery closed at 3 Saturday so I called the other bakery where I was picking up cupcakes to bring and they had the perfect Hope size cake. I wish I had my camera out while she was enjoying it.

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny stopped by our house before 7 AM, Hope is not one for sleeping in. We hunted a ton of eggs in our pj's then opened the easter baskets and Ryan picked us up donuts and starbucks for breakfast. Since Hope never took a bottle she is very interested in what they are all about so I had to get her a baby and bottle for easter.
