Busy Summer

A few pictures from Hope's busy summer. We have had dance, art, gymnastics or swimming everyday during the week. I am doing my best to make sure she is ready to start preschool in the fall. I also included a few pictures from our shopping trip since Mommy & Hope love to shop.

Birds & Fish

Ryan & I missed our calling to be bird & fish breeders. Since we have lived in our house we have had 9 baby bird family's use this nest. I keep telling Ryan we need to take it down but I feel bad for the Mommy birds so here it is. We got our new fish aquarium about a month ago and we have had 3 sets of black and white Molly's and two sets of the orange fish with black tails.

Trophy Club Fireworks

We almost didn't make this show but Hope said please fireworks mama, so of course I said okay. I am so glad we decided to go because it was one of the best shows and they had great music.

Church

Saturday was very busy for us parade, swim, church & another firework show, I think we all got a good nap too. I took a few pictures of Hope with one of the characters at church we are in a series called at the movies, our Pastor takes movies and shows God's words behind them. They had lots of fun things set up for the kids after the service. Hope was a mess they had a long line to go down the slide so after Hope went down instead of getting off & back in line she made a quick turn to go back up to go down again. She did this 3 times and nobody could catch her I was so embarrassed if I didn't have a white dress on I would have climbed up and got her.

4th Swim Party

I think she might be guilty of gluttony and slothAfter the parade we went to the swim party to cool off. Hope was a little too brave she would say no help and go under all by herself, she was fine but it scares me. She also has to problem jumping in and climbing back out all by herself.

4th of July Parade

We walked over to watch the Trophy Club 4th of July parade Saturday morning. Hope's friend Phoebe and her family came over and went with us. The girls had lots of fun watching the parade. Once Hope understood the people on the floats tossed candy out she was all about smiling and waving to get more candy. I didn't get many pictures of the floats because I was keeping Hope from climbing on or getting to close to get candy.

Southlake Firework Show

Ryan scared some boys into sharing their football with Hope, she ran it back for a touchdown. After the Zoo Friday morning Hope took a good nap then we ate dinner and watched the fireworks at the town square. Hope found one of her friends so we sat together to watch the show. The girls had cupcakes and danced while waiting for the fireworks to start. The show was great but it took us about a hour to get home and we live only 5 minutes away.

1st trip to The Dallas Zoo

Hope and I meet Jen & Dylan at the Dallas Zoo this morning. I have always heard the F.W. Zoo was way better but The Dallas Zoo was pretty impressive. All the animals were very friendly and they had lots of kid friendly activities. We stared off by the gorilla that was almost in the stroller with Hope then we saw the butterfly exhibit. I think Hope and Dylan both liked the reptile area the best they loved the snakes & I love the shot I got of Dylan with his arm around Hope showing her the snake. Hope then got to ride a horse and go to the petting zoo she loved both of them. They have a kids water splash area that we took advantage of, Jen told me to bring a swimsuit so we came prepared to let them cool off for a bit in the water. We got some lunch then went to a 4-D Africa movie, that was about poaching? a little scary for kids but Hope loved it. She kept asking for more movie all the way home. On the way out we stopped to ride the carousal twice once on the monkey then once on the horse. We will definitely go back to The Dallas Zoo I really think that they are working hard to improve it.
