Finally a Beautiful Day

We have been waiting for a beautiful day so we could go play outside. Today Hope and Minnie played in the sandbox, drove Dora car and Daddy's car. We were picking flowers (weeds) in the front yard when Ryan got home from work so Hope helped him pull into the garage. She thought she was a big girl driving the saab it was too funny.

Hope's two year doctor visit

She is now 36.5 inches and 32.2 pounds still way above the 99% her head was 49.5 inches and she is done with shots till 4. I sure we all wish our weight was less then our height. I think I am closer to the two pounds per inch. She is wearing 3T or 4T now I keep thinking it's got to slow down soon or she will be in a 5/6 before she 3. I don't know what I was expecting since her dad is 6'8"

Happy Birthday Dax

Hope's little friend Dax had his second birthday on Wednesday. Hope and Dax have been friends since they were a few months old. He is the only 2 year old that is bigger then Hope, that we know. I always joke that he is going to be the only boy taller then Hope so I had to include a picture of their first date in the red fire truck.

A girl and her mascara

Hope got into my makeup bag went to her vanity chair and put a little mascara on. I think she was trying to look like the girl behind the MAC counter. When I had her look in the mirror she said, "oh no big booboo".

North Texas Irish Festival

Being a McDermott we have to celebrate St. Patrick's day big so we stared early with the North Texas Irish Festival. It's mainly just an excused to drink beer all day, shop and listen/dance to live music. Hope had a great time she always loves the petting zoo and dancing so she was in heaven. Hope and I fell in love with the baby pig he almost went home with us. My favorite picture is of Hope trying to do the river dance in front of the stage. We had just watched the Irish dancers so she was trying her best to dance like them.

Hope's favorite shoes

Hope's favorite shoes are a old pair of red heels. I'm going to have to keep these shoes and give them to her one day she puts them on at least once a day and walks around the house. Anytime I ask her what shoes she want to wear or tell her to go get her shoes on she gets these. The other day I was getting ready to go to the gym and put on a pair of plain flip flops she looked at them and said, "Oh No Mama" and got me a pair of flip flops with crystals on them. I had to laugh and think what have I got myself into.

Hope's Day

On Hope's birthday I planned a special day just for her. It was so funny when she woke up she knew it was going to be a Hope day. We started at krispy kreme and she ate 3 donuts then I took her to gymboree to get some of that sugar out. I picked up some cookies from cookie in bloom for her friends and went to McDonald's. There I let her dip her chicken nuggets in caramel sauce, she still didn't eat them I think she was way too excited. After lunch we went to Ella Bella's and I let her pick out a halter tutu (picture coming soon) and a few other thing. She actually took a nap after that, I was very surprised. She spent the evening at her Mimi and Papa's with Daddy. She had a wonderful birthday I have to get some more pictures up she got a Dora chair/bed from Dad, two sandboxes because one is never enough and a few more thing. I have to say she had a great day.

dinner after the party

After Hope's party we went to dinner with Ryan's parents at Uncle Julio's, I was in need of a margarita. I have to ask one question how many people does it take to get one little girl to look at the camera?

2nd Birthday Party

Here are a few pictures from Hope's Birthday party I will add a slide show when I get a chance. I had to get a few pictures up so the friends and family that could not make it would be able to see. Of course she had a gymnastics party what else would my little girl have and she got to wear her Nastia leo that she loves. She is really into Minnie so we did mickey for the boys and Minnie for the girls, I thought the boy's dads would appreciate that. I really should have hired a photographer for the party I was just so busy that I didn't get many shots of them in the gym and she is a little to fast for any camera. They had a blast in the gym with the tumble track (really long trampoline), bounce house, hula hoops? and more. Then they went upstairs for the whole birthday thing I love the pictures of the little ones stuffing their mouths, too cute.
