Ryan was out of town so I took Hope up to main street days because she loves a petting zoo. We spent over 1 hour in the petting zoo & got 8 cones filled with food she told me the animals were very hungry. We also had to ride a pony & a few rides before going home.

Yeah caught up with summer now for fall. Hope is a penguin this year she loves her school & teachers but her friends are in different classrooms this year. 2 of her good friends from gymboree (yes since they were 6 weeks old) go to the school & were in class last year but they split them up this year all 3 different classes, I think that was planned, lol.

Hope picked the theme & cake for Ryan's birthday can you guess what she picked? BUGS of course she was too funny telling the lady at the cakery what bugs to put on the cake. She was very specific a stag beetle, lesser brown scorpion etc the lady wrote it all down then had to get on the computer to find out what all the bugs looked like that Hope was talking about.

We tried to take the girls for a fun trip to the DWA but Hope was getting her 2 year molars & very grumpy. JuJu the snake & some advil helped a little. I do not think we will forget this trip Hope got Ella Claire worked up in the car we tried to stop at sprinkles for cupcakes to help things out & that only made it worst. Oh I think my foot slipped of the brake at a red light in Dallas & I hit a truck no damage done, good thing.

Train Ride & Main Street Days

We meet Ella Claire, Dax & Rio at main street days for a train ride. After the ride the kids would not let us walk by the bungee tramps without letting them jump. Hope did her first double back & she stayed tucked yeah! We will see when she does it on her own for the first time my guess is 10.

Hope & I were at the store the other day & she saw a princess blanket she had to have so we made a deal and brought it home. Hope's end was if she got the blanket she would sleep in her room all night long & not go in Mommy & Daddy's bed. About 5 am the next morning we hear lots of snoring going on by the dog bed so we find Hope & Aurora sleeping together. After a quick picture we woke her up and got her back in her room. After she woke up I had to explain even if she in not on our bed she is still in our room & that we do NOT sleep in dog beds.

On Sailer's Birthday Disney on Ice happened to be in town so a few of her friends joined her to go watch. The girls understood more this year Hope was just in awe watching the princesses dance on the ice. After the show was over Hope asked if she could feel the ice that they danced on & since we were pretty close I told her okay, that was a bad idea. She had a plan when we got down there she ran onto the ice in the middle of American Airline Center. She had two security guards after her I tried to get my camera but they were really serious so I pretended to be mad but I was dying laughing.

Since my Mom was unable to be at any of Hope's parties we had another birthday when she got her. Hope picked out a snow white big girl bike, a few things at the disney store & electric guitar for her birthday. We got a yummy milwaukee joe's ice cream cake & had a little party at the house as you can see Hope was in heaven dressed like ariel tonight. Hope rarely wears her clothes now anytime she is home we are dressed up like a princess.

Princess Belle's Grand Entrance The 3 year old version of Duck, Duck Goose Hope opened some of her gifts at the party, the minute she saw Tiana dress up outfit she had to put it on & it barely came off for days.Most of the group from the partyHope not wanting to say bye to Belle Hope's 3rd birthday was a princess gymnastics party. When I ask her what she wanted to do for her party she told me where, who & what she wanted so I tried my best to make it special for her. She wanted a princess party at the gym were mommy coaches the girls, she needed a cake with princesses on it & Belle had to come or she would be sad. About a week before the party she asked me if Belle rsvp yet (she knows about that because of bonjour butterfly fancy nancy book) then she ask if we could play duck, duck goose with her. Hope was so sweet after she told me thank you a million times and ask if we could do it all again when she is turns 4. I think that makes it all worth it.

Hope's birthday was on Tuesday the 2ND & Wednesday she brought donuts for her gymnastics friends so Thursday she wanted to have a party again. After she opened the garage door she ran for the picture tree & told me just like my birthday mommy take a picture. Her big birthday party with all her friends was coming up on Saturday so she just wanted a party everyday until then. I can't wait to post all the birthday pictures. Hope with her elephant trunk Blowing out her 3 candles Hope teaching Ryan the princess names.My sweet princess turned 3 on the 2nd of March. She had preschool that day & was shinning star so we could bring snacks. I let her plan the entire day down to the plates for her school, snacks, lunch every last detail. She was twirling with excitement while I tried to take her picture before school. On the way to school we stopped to pick up chicken biscuits from chick-fil-a for her classes am snack. She had a wonderful day at school & I came about 30 minutes early so her class could read the book she picked out Birthday Monsters by Sandra Boynton, sing her happy birthday then have the monster cookies & milk. After we left school Hope & I went to McDonald's with the daisy doll that was waiting in the car seat when she got out of school. Hope & I went to the Cakery next for a pinkalious cupcakes. For diner we meet Ryan & his parents at the Rainforest Cafe. While we waited for our table by the elephants Hope & I ran down to the candy store for a quick snack. After eating the waitress came out with a group to give Hope a dessert & sing Happy birthday she loved all the attention. We went home with a excited & sleepy 3 year old but after bath she had to open a few princess presents. I think she feel asleep a happy big 3 year old.

Fancy Valentine's Party

Hope's sweet friend Sailer had a "whooo needs boys" fancy valentine party for a few of girls. Sailer's Mommy knows how to throw a party so of course everything was fabulous down to the heart shaped pb&j. As most of you know Hope was so excited to dress up & dance her once upon a dream like the princess. The girls ate first them made cards & played with the only boy allowed, besides the girls super cute little bro's, mr. potato head. Hope then found some of Sailer's dress up outfits & made herself at home in the playroom. She had so much fun that she feel asleep in the car & sleep for 2.5 hours, that is great for Hope.

On Valentines Day we had lunch at Ryan's parents to celebrate Mimi & Papa Nitz's birthday days. After eating too much Hope got on the elliptical to burn some calories. I am going to video her on it she goes so fast I rarely see anyone go as fast as she does at the gym. I bet she would finish a mile in under 10 minutes if she could stay in one place for that long.

First we baked & frosted a coconut cake & toasted the coconut & almonds in the ovenThe fun part Hope's favorite mix the cake up Then roll into balls & in the coconut/almond mix stick in the refrigeratorDid not get pictures of the next part but we dipped the balls into white chocolate almond bark & sprinkled with the coconut/ almond mix & very important step gave them to Ryan's Grandmother.Hope & I made snow ice cream & coconut cake balls when we were stuck inside. I don't like to brag much but these cake balls were so yummy I had to give them all away or I would have ended up looking like one.

My abstract flowerI put the cap on to take the pictures but Hope did most the work on the shirts I sprayed the heart she did the rest.Mommy, Daddy & Hope pj Valentines shirts.Ryan was on a business trip & we were snowed in so I found a few crafts for us to do. We did mani & pedi, made matching family shirts for V-Day & cooked. Ryan loves living in a house full of girls he gets to wear pink & purple shirts, princess crowns, boas the list goes on & on. The shirts were too cute & Hope loved that we all matched, I am just waiting for Ryan to forget he has it on & drive to the store in it.

A quick pic before we drive in the snow to school, this is the 1st of 12 inches of snow we got.Pizza....Cupcakes...more sweet We went to school in the snow mainly so Hope would not miss her Valentines Party & I signed up to bring the dessert which is a must for any preschool party. The party was during lunch & we all just took our little ones home after because the snow was not coming down like crazy at that point.

Wednesday has become family date night at The McDermott Home. If Hope has been good she gets to choose where we eat usually Chuck E Cheese or Rain Forest last Wednesday it was pizza. Hope dancing with her dinosaurs prince Today after church we took Hope up to the Heard Museum in McKinney to see the dinosaurs alive exhibit. She loved it and did not even realize it was 38 degrees outside. The T-Rex was 42 feet tall moved towards you and growled but Hope was not even fazed. She growled back and told me she would pinch him if her got to close, I am in trouble nothing scares this girl. She tried to feed all the dinosaurs grass, sticks & rocks then danced "Once Upon a Dream" with one and rode another a perfect day for me precious little girl.

I loved the name it was the KenChucky Derby Race aka Hope Farm she was singing Old McDonald while in the gate.I feel like we have deprived her since she is 2 1/2 and this is her first time to chuck e cheese. She had a great time & has asked to go back everyday since. It will be great because I can use it as a reward when she is good.

We had a girls day after Christmas at the Gaylord Hope, Grandma Judy, Grandma Linda & I. We all walked around enjoying the atmosphere for the day & taking in ICE. I look forward to going every Christmas I just love to see all the amazing sculptures & I also seem to forget how cold it really is in there. Poor Hope she kept telling me Mama I am all done it's cold as I was posing her for another picture. She was a trooper & way excited to pick out another ornament to go on her Christmas tree at the gift shop after we got out of the freezing cold.

A huge smile 2 minutes after losing her snowball fight with Papa. If you were worried about my little girl having Monty Rex he now wears a tutu I am sure that is upsetting to most little boys.Hope loved the snow she did not understand why we could not go skiing if there was snow. Poor girl does not understand we live on the flat plains of Texas. She did have a great time eating & playing in the snow even if we did not get to ski.

Christmas Dinner

After Hope's nap we went over to his parents house for Christmas dinner & more Hope Christmas gifts. Hope was so excited about all the princess shoes her MiMi got her, she is a shoeaholic. I am not sure if it is a good thing my 2 year old needs her big girl panties, socks, shoes & bow to match her outfit. The other day I set an outfit out & she told me Mom it does not match this one is better & she was right I forgot we got matching socks for the outfit. Anytime she changes clothes we have to change panties so they match her nap outfit, play outfit, pj's, dance leo whatever she had on we change panties about 4 times a day, it is too funny but I love it.

Since it was so cold & snowing I completely forgot to take any pictures before the service & it was snowing hard when we got out so I did not get any good Church pictures this year. I took one of Hope wanting to be a princess not one of the three kings. Hope was so happy with Izzy on her shoulders all the way home, good thing because it took us over a hour to drive home in the snow storm. I can't complain because we had a wonderful white Christmas.

Boo Boo

Hope got her first big cut on her head a few days before Christmas. Our sweet neighbors came over to bring Hope a Christmas present and she got over excited and was running in the house like a crazy little girl. She feel in the kitchen and hit her head on the rod iron chair leg, I picked her up quickly and did not even know she was bleeding till my Mom came in the room. Ryan ran graped the phone and called 9-1-1. I had not even looked at her head or wiped the blood off and he had the paramedics on the way. I told him we do not need an ambulance she is okay so he then told the 9-1-1 operator the have a room ready for us at Baylor Grapevine we will be there in 10 minutes I really thought he was going to ask for a police escort. I quickly told him we just need to go to wal-greens get some butterfly band-aids and we will be okay. I have some rx- ointment butterfly band-aids and barbie band-aids on the top and we are good, Hope was fine after a Popsicle but she did have a big bump to go with her Christmas dress this year.

Hope's masterpiece! She was so proud to show Daddy when we got home.The sprinkles were a huge hitHope's sweet friend Dax invited her & Ella Claire over to decorate gingerbread houses & cookies for Christmas. The three of them have been friends since before they were 6 months old & now they are in the same classroom at preschool. They had so much fun eating the candy and getting messy together. Murder Mystery Diner

Peta fans hold the paint cans! I had to wear it because it fit the part perfect & I did not buy it my Mom did.Ryan & his breath spray that he had to be OCD about during the evening. My twin daughters for the evening. Ryan falling over dead because I gave him chocolate mistletoe seeds, oops I guess a few to many.Our hometeam (bible study group) had a Murder Mystery diner for our Christmas party this year. It was Mistletoe Madness & we had the best time ever, Ryan was the one that got killed & I did it. We had 7 couples & we were all given a role with some info so we could dress & play the part. During the evening we had 4 rounds & got clues and rules to follow so I had no idea I did it until I opened my last envelope. Ryan played the part of a Italian clothing & I was a rich widow with twin daughters that were secretly his. Ryan & I can't wait till we can take part in anther murder mystery diner it was so much fun.

Yeah Big Girl Panties

The day has finally come that Hope is wearing big girl panties all the time. We gave all our pull ups to Santa so we got a Christmas Tree in our room. We do not have a single pull up or diaper in the house, yeah. We are going on day 6 with only one accident at 6 AM because she could not get out of her room in time so now we don't shut the door so she can get in & out easier. She was crying saying Daddy did it because he locked her door & she could not get out, too funny it was not locked but a little hard to open sometimes. Can you tell she picked out her toy story pj's I have to give in sometimes so I choose the pj's instead of the daytime clothes.

Preschool Christmas Party

Hope had a Christmas party at her preschool last Thursday. They had a book exchange & made reindeer cookies the last 30 minutes of class so the parents could come before picking them up. Hope has loved her first few months of school she always talks about & prays for her teachers Miss Amanda & Miss Kristi. Her favorite classes are Chapel & Spanish because she gets to go on stage & sing. They put together to sweetest calendar for the kids to give to their parents for Christmas. Hope was so proud of this she finger painted the wrapping paper and ornament that was ties to a bow with a pictures of her in a Christmas hat. I will take picture and post it because it is so cute.

I got to go in the gym and watch instead of coach so I took a few pictures but Hope is too fast for even the action setting on my camera. She loves gymnastics and wants to coach like Mama does, she gets her bady dolls and tells them toes to the bar, chin up & pull over.

Santa & 1 Reindeer

The little bit of snow we had in our backyard.Hope excited after telling Santa what she needs for Christmas. Here are a few pictures that were taken of Hope I order them but they are not in yet these are just proofs from her website. They are so much better then last year she is happy to see Santa not just for the candy.After school Thursday I took Hope to go see Santa & a live Reindeer so she could let him know she needs ALL her princesses. My smart little girl let me know Santa has 12 reindeer not just one. Hope told Santa she NEEDS a new camera, all her princesses (she names at least 8) and a few other random things depending on when she is asked.

My Mom got a new puppy for Hope, Ryan said no & my Mom got to attached to her to give up. Hope loved Isabella she carried her everywhere & she had to go in the car seat with us as you can see. Hope & Izzy played like two little girls hiding toys from each other and running away or playing chase. The only way we could get Hope to leave with out her is to say my Mom will bring her to our house at Christmas. Everyday Hope tells me its almost Christmas time & Grandma Judy is coming with Isabella, Hope loved the name.

King of the Cage

Ryan & I got to have a date night while we were up in Ruidoso. My Mom watched Hope & we went to a MMA king of the cage fight at the casino. They had a few good pro fighters & then a few local ones working their way up. I guess they have a really good gym up in Alb. with a well know coach.

This was great the weather was perfect only the bottom part of the mountain was open so it wasn't very crowded so I could work with her a little bit. She was so excited she wore her ski boots all the way up the mountain & held her skis with her in the car seat. Her favorite part was the chair lift & eating the snow. I was very pleased with her first ski experience she lasted longer then I thought she would. Don't get me wrong after a few runs she was ready to take her ski boots off & put her snow boots on & have some hot coco & cheetos so I think I wore her out.

Thanksgiving in Ruidoso

The view from our table, it almost looks like spring with no snow on the mountain.Hope with Grandma & Gramps MillerWe drove up to Ruidoso for Thanksgiving this year to be with my family. Ryan got introduced to the Miller Thanksgiving tradition of going out to eat less mess no stress. Hope missed the step up to the sidewalk and hit her head when we were walking to the car to go eat. I hear the echo from her head hitting the cement, it made my heart drop. She was so tough she cried for a minute then it was like nothing even happened.

We had 7 gymnasts make it to the level 6 state meet in Austin last weekend & since I got to go we made it a family trip. Really I coached while Ryan & Hope got to play in a new city. The meet was lots of fun I was so proud of all the girls they had an excellent meet I could not have asked for them to work harder. As for Ryan & Hope they played hard & ate more I think they had a great Father Daughter weekend.

Hope took this picture of monkey the next 2 pictures Hope took Hope & I both took a ton of pictures at Curious George Live. I can't wait till Santa brings Hope her kid's camera so I can have mine back. She loves taking pictures I think because she always see me with my camera she wants one. The funny thing is that some of her pictures turn out better then mine & she always changes the setting to fix it she tells me. We had a great time it was a little long but we could not have asked for better seats front row center stage. The man in the yellow hat even gave Hope a high five during the performance when they did a song in front of the stage. Hope was standing almost the entire show she was so happy.

Turkey Shirts

Hope's preschool has some theme everyday Turkey Day was a little difficult to find something to wear. Celina & I tried to hand make turkey shirts for the girls, this was a little scary since either of us know how to sew a button on a shirt. They came out pretty cute but notice I did not zoom in too much on the pictures. Not sure if they can be washed or worn a second time but the girls loved dressing alike and they looked cute together.

Hope had her first school Thanksgiving Feast today. Her school helped make it very special by inviting any family that could attend and having special placemats made by the kids with their picture on it. The Chapel was set up nice for the family and Hope was very excited to see everyone waiting for her at the table to eat.

Hope's preschool had red, white & blue day on Tuesday, I took this picture before I took her to class. They had a Veteran's Day Parade and had a few Veterans from different branches of the military come in so the kids could meet them in their uniforms. Hope's Teacher told me she lead the parade and was the first to give everyone high fives and tell them peace out.

Hope and Ella Claire had a great time at Elmo's birthday party they had at Nordstrom's. I had to pick up a few things at the mall for our Christmas pictures so I talked Ryan into going for Elmo's birthday so I could shop without Hope. We took the picture today it was a mess Hope chocked on a candy & puked on the way up there, I had to jump in the back seat while we were driving on the 121 in the tiny prius. After cleaning throw up out of her hair, outfit the car & me she bit her tongue during the photo session so we got blood on another outfit and my jeans. I know photoshop can do some amazing thing and Jen is wonderful but it was a bad day we will see what we end up with. Jen is so great she told us we can reschedule if nothing comes out but I have faith in her.

Pirate Day

Hope's school had Pirate day last Thursday they learned that The Bible is their treasure map. She had fun with her eye patch that she helped me make and her pirate hat & came home with the cutest treasure map of The Bible. I just love that she gets to wear outfits and dress up for school it's so much fun.

Hope's First Hair Cut

We took Christmas pictures this weekend so I finally decided to get Hope her first hair cut. We went to pigtails & crewcuts & they had a cute first haircut package so I gave in and let them take scissors to my sweet babies hair. She was sure it was torture to get 1/2 an inch off her hair and even it out a little. I think the entire process took 15 minutes but she acted like it was a lifetime. She wanted the airplane first so she could fly like Uncle Mike she said then after the hair cut she wanted in the firetruck to look at the bell.

A day in Hope's life

Just took pictures of a day in the life of Hope. First picture is before school she always goes in front of a tree the lighting is not wonderful but she likes it. We stopped to get ice cream after school because she took a nap and was a good listener at school. Anytime I ask what she wants to eat she just tells me eat with the animals so we met Ryan for dinner at the rain forest cafe. We love the atmosphere the food is okay but she is happy and that's what is important. If you were wondering YES it's 100% normal for us to make at least 3 outfit changes in a day.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat Hope found the "cool car" one of the high school pastor's had a dance stage set up so of course Hope was on it. We had to get thought the crowd & carry her off and away because she kept running back.Sugar high on the way homeTrick or Treat On Halloween we went to Church as usually they had a Trunk or Treat set up after the service. Hope had a blast candy, costumes, games and yummy food what else could she ask for on Halloween. We stopped by our sweet neighbors house after so Hope could go to one house and trick or treat. It's sad that Trick or treating is not as popular & even scary anymore. I used to love to go trick or treat and I want Hope to experience what it's like because I am not sure how much longer anyone will still be going.

Ryan & I got to go to a Halloween party without our little ladybug. I stayed up Thursday night tie-dying Ryan a shirt & trying to find me something to wear. I really wanted to go as foxy brown but could not find a costume my size anywhere I have looked for a while but put something together last minute. Hope's preschool had a costume parade on Thursday it was so cute little ones dressed up & Mommies with camera everywhere. I think I only got 1 picture of Hope looking somewhere besides in the treat bag. She is now obsessed with bubble gum she will chew it for a while & then tell me its gone need more please. She only wanted to be a ladybug she picked out which lady bug outfit she wanted & that is all I can get her in. Sometimes having a strong willed child is very hard but it she made a very cute ladybug so I can't complain.
